This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their service vans pink for the fight to end breast cancer.
Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans in addition to giving $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to raise funds for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air raised over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the quantity of cases is actually decreasing each year, that still represents a huge number of families who are struggling with this disease, and there is still an immediate need for research and support.”
Service Experts of Raleigh’s General Manager, Chris Overton, reiterated Schneider’s thoughts. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in North Carolina – for men and women.”
