Many daily things may cause poor indoor air quality in your Columbus house.
This includes:
- Substances in [carpet, furniture and window treatments that emit fumes
- Cleaning sprays
- Paint
- Personal care products
- Air fresheners and candles
Though they are usually more efficient, newer homes don’t breathe the way older houses do. Secure weather stripping and storm doors keep inside air in and outdoor air out. This provides better energy savings, but the limited exchange of outdoor and indoor air can create particles increasing indoors.
When this happens, a whole-house ventilation system is suggested. Ventilation systems exchange dirty interior air for fresher outside air without sacrificing energy savings.
